Well we're all still here. Lot's of surface water & very blowy but everything is still standing!!! It would appear it's not over yet as they are forecasting more rain & heavy winds!!!

Battening down the hatches for the storm that is supposed to hit us later. Finding it hard to believe as beautiful sunshine at the moment!!!!

Kitty is another little 5.5" bear made from the same pattern as Daisy Mae & Peony. I just love these small bears, they just seem to have so much character.

Well despite all the high winds last night, we are still in one piece. Trees still standing, greenhouse, sort of standing. That unfortunately has taken quite a battering this winter, so really will have to take the decision this summer to take it down completely I think. Anyway the sun is now shining so look's like it could be a nice day. Got to finish the decorating sometime soon, it seem's to have gone on forever!!!!

Maisie is a 5" mohair mouse. One of two I made a couple of years ago. They both went to a shop in Arundel, where Monty the boy mouse was adopted, but left poor Maisie on her own. The shop then closed down & a friend who works in Arundel rescued her for me & then she eventually made her way back to me.

Been trying to decide which classes to enter for the I/NTBAA competition. There is a wide variety of classes....certainly enough to get the creative juices flowing. Trouble is, this year I am going to have to be in with the "big guns", having been placed third in the novice class last year I am no longer eligible for that class now.
And what a lovely morning it is this morning....no rain & the sun is shining. I was beginning to think I might be better off with webbed feet!!!! Make the most of today, probably be raining again tomorrow!!!!!

Finished this bear a couple of nights ago. He is Ben, 12" standing, made from synthetic fur, 5 way cotter pin jointed, he has plastic eyes & a rubber nose, Never used one of these before & can't say I'm totally in love with the idea....but you have to try these things!!! His pads & inner ears are made from a needle cord fabric. He has some pea shingle in his tummy to give him a little added weight.
Had a bit of an up/down week, have been accepted as a bear artist on the Artist Bears International website, so two of the bears...Ted & Elijah.... are on there, well pleased with that result. But sadly I applied to be on the 100 Bear Artists Blogs, & was refused. Never mind my page views for this blog are climbing steadily, with international viewers, so when I write a blog, I now know that I'm not just writing to the big black hole out there.
Have a good day everyone. Speak soon.
